- This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). �The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Office of Acquisition Services, 2900 Woodcock Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30314 intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Ex Libris (USA), 1350 E Touhy Ave, Ste 150 W, Des Plaines, Illinois 60018 for software maintenance and technical assistance for the CDC Library resource server. The CDC Library uses three (3) software system servers to provide resources to its users. Theses systems consist of Voyager, Primo, and SFX --- all of which are owned and licensed by Ex Libris. As a result, Ex Libris is the only source available to provide the necessary updates, software support, and troubleshooting. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 511210 � Software Publishers and a size standard of $41.5 Million. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will solicit and negotiate directly with Ex Libris (USA) and no solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, if an interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can perform the requirement.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to jpowell5@cdc.gov. within five (5) days after the publication of this notice. No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received within five (5) days, an award will be made to Ex Libris (USA).
