Description
Performance Work Statement (PWS) Bird Removal Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) PURPOSE: Veterans Affairs requires a contractor to provide bird removal services at Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care Systems, Muskogee, OK. Services are to be performed in accordance with this PWS and, in a cost-effective, efficient manner, contributing to the VA Mission. PERFORMANCE: The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, and supplies necessary for installation of ¾ inch knotless net and spikes to exclude the area from birds. This will be a one-time purchase for the installation of netting and spikes with related equipment. REQUIRED SERVICE STANDARD Installation Netting, Electric Track, Bird Slide, Spike, Hot Foot Gel, Optical Gel will be installed properly and safely. Bird Removal Phase one Pre bait phase will involve baiting trays deployed strategically throughout the area. Bird Removal Phase two Will occur after 60 days but not to exceed 90 days in the areas where the largest signs of Birds remain, will occur once a week for 4 weeks. Monitoring Monitoring will occur monthly starting at month 3 ending on month 12 to address any reinfestation. Safe equipment uses Proper use of belts, ropes, hoists, hard-hats, goggles, masks, protective clothing, rigging, etc. Warranty Will address any issues dealing with workmanship defects for 6 months after completion. SPECIFICATIONS: 1. When repairs or preventive maintenance are required, contractor will be on site to address problems no later than 48 hours after workorder is submitted. 2. Any equipment broken by Contractor work during this contract shall be replaced to the satisfaction of the Environmental Manager or his designee, within 24 hours; at no additional cost to the Government. 3. Contractor shall be responsible for any damage government property his/her employees' fault or negligence. Such damage will be corrected to the satisfaction of the Contracting Officer, at no additional cost to the Government. LOCATIONS: Live baiting will occur in Building 55, Netting, Electric Track, Bird Slide, Spike, Hot Foot Gel, Optical Gel will be deployed on the West side Awning, South Side Docking Area and East Side Dock of the Jack C Montgomery VAMC.
