- SOURCES SOUGHT ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- REQUIRED RESPONSE DATE:� ��3:00 pm EST on 1/7/2022 Contract Specialist: Carlos Oquendo�� ����Email: carlos.oquendo@dla.mil ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DLA Land and Maritime is preparing to solicit the following one-time buy: NSN 5999016780131 ITEM NAME Part Kit, Electronic Equipment Cage(s) & P/N(s) 75Q65 & 57K8861 Unit of Issue EA Quantity 51 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The AMC/AMSC for the NSN listed above is �3/D� AMC ""3"" Items found to be procured from the actual mfgr or vendor, including a prime contractor who is the actual mfgr. "" AMSC ""D""�� The data needed to acquire these parts competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation.� OSHKOSH DEFENSE, LLC is the only company at this time that can provide these parts since it is not economically feasible for the government to reverse engineer the items at this time.� Based on all available information provided to the Contracting Officer, no other source can provide this item.� ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DLA Land and Maritime does not possess technical data for this NSN. Sources interested in becoming an approved source for this NSN must submit the appropriate information as outlined in DLA Procurement Note L04 � Offers for Part Numbered Items, and DLA Procurement Note M06 � Evaluation of Offers for Part Numbered Items. A company wishing to be reviewed and qualified as an �Approved Source�, must submit an application package through the DLA Land and Maritime Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program.� A SAR package contains all technical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same level of quality or better than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).� The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item which DLA Land and Maritime is procuring.� For further information on Alternate Offers/SAR, please reference the following DLA Land and Maritime web page https://www.dla.mil/LandandMaritime/Business/Selling/Alternate-Offers/.� Detailed information on Alternate Offer�and Source Approval Request, including technical data package submission can be found in the �Source Approval Request� information section, near the bottom of the Value Management Unit page.
