Description
PREVENTITIVE MAINENTANCE SERVICES Contract Title Annual preventative maintenance services for a Liquid Chromatography (LC) system Background The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS) requires preventative maintenance on an Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system for its research and development (R&D) service. The LC system is a fully automated way to separate, identify and quantify the different components of a liquid mixture, or to purify one. The VAMHCS R&D service purchased the Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system in 2020 and the warranty ran out in August of 2021. Therefore, it is prudent that preventative maintenance services be put into place to ensure the longevity, and gain the fullest benefit and cost-effectiveness, of the equipment. Scope The Agilent 1260 Infinity II LC system requires yearly maintenance to ensure continuing efficiency and accuracy. An LC system running within specific parameters is necessary to monitor the experimental therapies that treat neurodegenerative diseases in laboratory mice.
