- ADVANCE NOTICE OF UPCOMING SOLICITATION: 89503322RWA000023 This is a competitive 100% Small Business Set-aside Invitation for Bid (IFB) related to the Olinda Substation Service Upgrades Project. The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237130 with a size standard of $36.5 million. This acquisition will be handled as an IFB prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 14 and 36. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Place of performance will be in Shasta County, California. The purpose of this project is to remove existing unit substation DZA, pad mount transformer designated KZ31A, and 375W standby generator and propane storage tank, and removal of cables and equipment after station service cutover. Installation of temporary 35-kV power cables, 230-kV bay and other Government furnished items to include: motor operated disconnect switch, SSVT�s, one (1) pad mount transformer, one (1) automatic transfer switch, three (3) safety switches, five hundred MCM shielded insulated conductor, 35-kV power cable, pull boxes, and galvanized steel structures. The solicitation, specifications, drawings, and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet free of charge. No CD-ROMS or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Interested parties can download the solicitation at https://sam.gov on or about 18 January 2022. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. Contractors shall ensure Online Representations and Certifications is completed and current in SAM. It is important to read the solicitation COMPLETELY as there are DATES that MUST be met.
