Description
This is a source sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, small veteran owned business or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NACIS 221112 (size standard of 750 employees). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the beta.SAM.gov website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office NCO22, is seeking sources for vendors to purchase LOW-NOX Diesel Fuel for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. The anticipated award date shall be 1/21/22. If you are interested and are capable of providing the required services please provide the requested information as indicated below. Response to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business small (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified Hubzone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, (7) Is your firm a Veteran Owned Small Business? Small businesses considering participation in this potential solicitation process under any Small Business Set-aside procedure must do so in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Small Business Act. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Hanan.Chaaban@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 4:00 p.m. 1/12/21. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Salient Characteristics: Will have/need to deliver 25,741 Gallons of Amber 363 II Fuel NA1993, Combustible Liquid, N.O.S. (petroleum distillates) Combustible Liquid, PG III Low Emission Fuel for the Boilers at Bldg-5B. Contractor shall supply and dispense 25,741 Gallons of Low-Nox Diesel @ Bldg-5B. LB-9A, Bldg-5B, 6297 Gallons of Low-Nox Diesel Fuel. LB-9B, Bldg-5B, 6364 Gallons of Low-Nox Diesel Fuel. (C) LB-9C, Bldg-5B, 6342 Gallons of Low-Nox Diesel Fuel. (D) LB-9D, Bldg-5B, 6738 Gallons of Low-Nox Diesel Fuel. Contractor shall ensure that any spilled fuel is immediately cleaned up prior to moving to the next tank. Contractor shall leave all work areas clean of all debris. Required to keep the Boiler Plant Fuel Tanks at a minimum of 90% Capacity for an extended period in case of an Emergency and the loss of the Natural Gas that currently feeds the Boilers. If Natural Gas is lost in the case of an Emergency the Boilers will be switched over to the Low-Nox Diesel Fuel in order to provide heating throughout the Medical Center.
