Description

Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract:� The U.S. Air Force, 60 CONS intends to negotiate and issue a sole source award to obtain full service maintenance coverage of the Varian Medical Linear Accelerator Radiation Therapy Systems and Aria/Eclipse Treatment Planning Systems located at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, CA.� The NAICS code is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a small business standard of $22M.� The award date is estimated to be no later than 1 April 2022. The requirement includes service, repair, parts, calibration, upgrade and preventive maintenance of the Varian radiation therapy systems, to include Varian proprietary system software upgrades and firmware patches.� The contractor shall provide regular scheduled software and hardware updates (preventive maintenance), as well as rapid response repairs on an as needed basis.� The contractor shall furnish rapid response maintenance service to maintain maximum uptime for the system.� The contractor must also provide hardware and software support as needed 7 days per week in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer specifications.� 60 CONS intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of AFFARS 5313.501.� The sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR parts 12 and 13.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.� A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.��Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy the requirements should submit a capability statement and proof that Varian Medical Systems, Inc has granted authorization to provide all aspects of this service.� All responses should be in writing to richard.thorp.4@us.af.mil and nigel.prince@us.af.mil via e-mail prior to 16 Jan 2022 no later than 1600 hrs PST.
