- Description
- This pre-solicitation synopsis is not a request for competitie proposals. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to competitively procure services for acquiring 3,333 SARS-CoV-2 samples a week, subsequent laboratory processing and sequencing of samples, data and metadata management, and data delivery. Sampling is required across the50 states and specified jurisdictions including the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. CDC will not provide the SARS-CoV-2specimens. A fixed-price contract is anticipated with a one-year base period and two one-year option periods. If options are exercised the potential overall contract period will be thirty-six months or three years. CDC will utilize commercial procedures for the award in accordance with the FAR. Award wil be made using a Best-Value Trade-Off approach, where technical criteria and past performance will be signifigantly more important than price. CDC anticipates awarding oneor morecontracts to acquire representative SARS-CoV-2 sequencing data, and all required metadata from all 50 states plus jurisdictions including the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Government will release the solictation, including any subsequent amendments on SAM.gov. The government anticipates the solicitation will be available 7-15 days from the date of this notice, with an anticipated closing date/proposal due date of roughly 20-30 days from the date of release of the solicitation. No telephone or written requests for the solicitation will be accepted. Amendments to the solicitation, if issued, will be posted to the same website. After solicitation release, vendors should regularly access the website to ensure they have all of the amendments and any associated attachments.
