Description
This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS)/Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational purposes and market research only; it does not constitute a solicitation.� The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparing/submitting information in response to this posting.� The information provided may be used by the Government in developing its acquisition strategy, statement of work/statement of objectives, and performance specifications. �Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained within their response as instructed later in this posting. The government is looking to procure 200 virtual reality headsets along with six (6) Sexual Harrassment/Assault Response and Prevention scenarios. The system needs to be a fully immersive Virtual Reality training platform in which Soldiers will experience real-world scenarios of inapporopriate behavior unbecoming of a DoD Service Member.� Through this training Soldiers will learn the current regulatory guidance and how to intervene, respond, and report SHARP relatd incidents. Training scenarios will require the use of 360 degree virtual reality techonology.� Training must be completely customizable and in order to meet AR 600-20 regulatory guidance for the Army�s Sexual Harrassment/Assault response and prevention program.� Production work will be required to be reviewed and approved by a credentialed SHARP professional.� Virtual reality headsets must be an untethered, all-in-one 6 degree-of-freedom headset.� Virtual reality training will not include controllers and headsets will allow the trainee to be self-guided throughout the training experience.� The training platform will not be in a stationary location and must be mobile in order to be deployed to the units throughout the 82nd Airborne Division.� Equipment must be able to work with WiFi capabilities.� Hardware (headsets and any associated laptop/computer equipment) must not be installed in a stationary location; equipment will be mobile in some fashion.� Software must be able to be downloaded to the headsets and updated as necessary in order to facilitate uploading custom scenarios.� Training capibilities must meet 18,000 Soldiers.� Warranty for headsets and technical support must be 12 months in order to meet the annual SHARP training requiremnts.
