Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, �Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items,� as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. �The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-01 (eff. 12/06/2021). This solicitation is set-aside for SDVOSB firms. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541620, with a small business size standard of $16.5 Million. The FSC/PSC is H946. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2 (James J. Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468-3904) is seeking to acquire water treatment consulting and monitoring service. STATEMENT OF WORK GENERAL INFORMATION Title: Water Treatment Consultant and Monitoring Service Purpose: A water treatment consultant is an integral part of an effective water treatment program, optimizing water and energy use and minimizing maintenance and equipment costs/replacement. This requirement is for an experienced water treatment consultant to serve as an independent advisor to the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Facilities Management Service. Background:� The James J. Peters VAMC, Facilities Management Service, has a requirement for a water treatment consultant to meet the requirements of VHA Directive 1810(1). Scope of Work: Contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, supervision, and equipment necessary to perform necessary water tests and provide consultation services. Water Treatment Program Monitoring: Review all water treatment reports and correspondence as they are submitted. Establish a performance tracking program. Prepare program logs.� Perform additional chemical testing as needed. Inspect equipment when available. Consultation Services: Meet with Boiler/AC Plant management on-site, monthly Meet with the chemical vendor to ensure quality of product, quarterly. Prepare a monthly treatment program review. Assist with annual review and goal setting. Discuss water related problems and questions as needed and make appropriate recommendations. See attached for full solicitation.�
