Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul District Contracting Division, has an upcoming requirement to provide multidisciplinary cultural resource related services for projects undertaken by the USACE in support of districts in the upper Mississippi Valley region of the Mississippi Valley Division, and is seeking interested sources from all business concerns that are capable of providing the work required. The work includes, but is not limited to: archaeological and architectural historic property identification, including literature research, surveys, and property evaluations/reevaluation; assessment of effects on historic properties; and resolution of adverse effects on historic properties, including unanticipated discoveries, and development of agreement documents and mitigation/treatment plans; participation in consultation with SHPO, THPO, ACHP, and the public; remote sensing, geoarchaeological testing and analysis, conservation and curation of artifacts and collections management. Contractors would need to be familiar with current federal and state regulations, guidelines, and procedures related to the character of services required. Finally, the contractor would need to demonstrate an ability both to manage and supervise subcontractors and to handle large volumes of work under strict deadlines. This market research will gather information on the available cultural resource services providers to help define the requirement and formulate an acquisition strategy appropriate for these requirements. Contract Areas: The location of the contract work will be limited to the area encompassed by the upper Mississippi watershed, specifically North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri. Please carefully review the attached Request for Information (RFI) notice. This is not a request for proposals, but instead market research to determine interested sources prior to issuing the solicitation. The purpose of this notice is to obtain indication of interest and to obtain capability information of those interested sources.Submission of Capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities.
