Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is issuing a solicitation for Gudgeon Anchor GPR Geophysical Surveying, commercial services, prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 541360, with a Small Business Size Standard of $16.5 Million as determined by 13 CFR 121.104. Competition for this requirement is Set-Aside for small business. Offers received from other than small business offerors will not be considered. When available, the solicitation documents for this project W912EF22Q0028 will be provided via SAM https://www.SAM.gov on or around 13 January 2022. Please do not submit a quote without the solicitation package that will be provided to industry by the Government as specified above. The solicitation will be a Request for Quote (RFQ). The official quotation due date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued. SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor will provide all labor, supply and equipment to conduct a concrete subsurface investigation of the two downstream gate monoliths (M38 and M39) using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). Information obtained from the GPR scans will provide spatial information needed for replacement of the miter gate gudgeon anchors and appurtenances. The Contractor will use state-of-the-art methods and equipment to scan to the maximum depth possible from selected surfaces. The Contractor will identify and locate all known and unknown embedded objects subject to the limitations of the scanning technology. The Contractor will map all scanned objects in a three-dimensional computer/CAD model. Produce a three-dimensional CAD model and two-dimensional drawings with all items detected during the scan (embedded objects, monoliths cracks and voids). Identify all deviations from the Government-furnished model and as-built drawings. Provide dimensions in feet-inches along with estimated limits of precision (plus/minus x-number inches) for each dimension. Reference surfaces are the actual deck, downstream and lockside wall surfaces of each monolith. Report dimensions as dimensional coordinates relative to these surfaces. The origin (0,0,0) of the coordinate system is the point of intersection of the lockside face, the downstream face and the deck surface.
