Description
We respectfully request that the government allow for the submission of CPARS in lieu of PPQs. Completed CPARS offer the government a verified view of the offeror's performance from individuals actively involved in the project. With the provided 5-year timeline for projects, we find that, in some cases, the representatives who were actively involved in the project are no longer able to provide completed PPQs to the government because they have either moved on to other agencies or have retired. In other cases, the representatives will not complete PPQs if a CPARS evaluation already exists. CPARS will be accepted in lieu of PPQ s. Referencing pages 14 and 19 of the solicitation, please advise whether or not installing Isolation Power in Operating Rooms is included in the scope of work for this project? Not installing, isolation power it s just one of the criteria of possible rating descriptions. Please confirm that roof replacement and/or roof patching are not included in the project scope of work. Not included, the contactor should perform a pre-demo survey noting any discrepancies, any damage caused during execution is the responsibility of the contractor. Specifications 01 00 00 -12- 1.10 ALTERATIONS We were not permitted to walk on the roof during the site visit. Is there anything prohibiting working on the roof during this project? Nothing will prohibit working on the roof with proper safety equipment in place. Can you confirm that stack temperature is the only device that will be removed and reinstalled for this project? The stack temperature is the only device attached to the boiler stack. Can you confirm that the scope of work starts at the outlet of the economizer? The scope of work does start at the economizer. Can we reuse the existing roof curb? Existing roof curb will not be used and replaced with new 23 05 11 25 -2.14 DUCT PENETRATIONS Can we reuse the existing duct hangers? Existing duct hangers will not be used and replaced with new. Please confirm that there is no scope of work within the Boiler Control room. There is no scope of work within the control room. Please confirm that the replacement breaching is the same size / weight as the existing to confirm the existing structure can support the new work. Please see attached plan. From visual observation from the pedestrian bridge to the parking deck, there are no guy wires or exterior roof supports for the existing boiler stacks. Please confirm that the new stack design will not require any exterior support or stabilization. The current stack has no guy wires and wind rated for 110mph and replacement with a product that meets or exceeds specifications. Please advise if the QC and Safety manager roles can be performed by the onsite superintendent, or if these need to be three separate people. The safety manager must be a separate person. The super can also be the QC but not safety. Since there is only a single road into the boiler plant area, and this area serves other hospital functions, deliveries and engineering; are there any restrictions, time limitations, or time of day / day of week requirements for project access, material deliveries, crane activity, etc.? There are other delivery areas for materials see map, when necessary to make deliveries to the rear of the hospital or perform crane operations it must be submitted to the Engineering department for approval and scheduling. A rear entry to the Boiler plant exists from Pratt Street. What kind of insulation would the customer like to see in their Boiler stack? Current boilers stack is 2 insulation and 1 gap. What are the measurements for the ground to Horizontal stack run? From ground to stack is 16ft 2 1/4 inches.
