Description
Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Atlantic (EWTGLANT) conducts training and instruction in the doctrine, tactics, and techniques of Naval expeditionary warfare, with a focus on amphibious operations, in order to support operational commanders in maintaining forces ready to project military power from the sea. EWTGLANT requires subject matter expertise in amphibious operations to provide instruction and conduct analysis of amphibious warfare-related documents to ensure the currency of curricula. This requirement is to provide amphibious operations subject matter expertise and instructor support primarily for the Intermediate Amphibious Operations Course (IAOC) and secondarily to other courses and events that share parts of the IAOC curriculum or might influence the IAOC curriculum. The IAOC is an existing course which focuses on skills needed by Navy and Marine Corps staff officers to plan and execute amphibious operations. The target audience of this course is Expeditionary Strike Group and Marine Expeditionary Brigade command echelons and below. The IAOC is a 10-day course which is typically taught four times per year. The Contractor shall update and maintain the IAOC curriculum to ensure currency with modern Training, Tactics and Procedures (TTPs) as well as instruct the course. The IAOC is team-taught; however, the Contractor is required to be well-versed and ready to instruct every course topic. The Contractor shall also instruct portions of Intermediate Amphibious Operations Course that have been added to other courses offered at EWTGLANT, such as the Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) /Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Staff Planning Course (occurs not more than two times per calendar year) and the Senior Amphibious Course (occurs 4 times per year). The Contractor shall also attend and support Course Curriculum Review Boards (CCRBs), workshops, conferences, and seminars that relate to the IAOC course material. The Contractor shall recommend revisions to the IAOC based upon knowledge gained at these venues and make CCRB-approved changes to the IAOC.
