- MARK YOUR CALENDARS for May 2022! During the week of 23-27 May 2022, the Department of the Air Force Hypersonics S&T enterprise is hosting the 2022 Hypersonics Independent Research and Development (IR&D) Technology Interchange Meeting (TIM) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.� This invitation is open to all industry partners with IR&D and corporate investments, including large and small businesses, academia, National Labs, and FFRDCs with a signed and certified DD form 2345 (Military Critical Technical Data Agreement).� This engagement is intended to foster mutual awareness, increase collaboration, and identify alignment between industry�s independent research investments and DAF hypersonics-related science and technology needs.� Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from throughout the U.S. Government in various technical disciplines will participate in submitted abstract reviews and face-to-face meetings to provide feedback to industry on its Hypersonics-related IR&D. NOTE:� Changes and/or updates for this event will only be made at the companion announcement on the Defense Innovation Marketplace (DIM) site ONLY; therefore, please check the DIM site often. Interested in participating? Here�s what you need to do: Send your expression of interest and company�s DD2345 to dtic.belvoir.ecm.list.hypersonics@mail.mil as soon as possible. Once your expression of interest is received by our IR&D TIM planning team, you will receive a reply with additional information and instructions for submitting your IR&D abstracts and corporate investments.� Final submittals are due no later than 1200 Pacific Time, 18 Feb 2022.� Each company may submit up to 5 abstracts for consideration, but submit each abstract only once.� If you do not receive acknowledgement from the planning team within three business days, please resend the original email. Security While all information submitted must be unclassified, this event will accommodate discussions up to the Secret Collateral level. Company presenters will be asked to identify the appropriate classification level for their one-on-one session(s). All one-on-one sessions will be closed-door and between the presenter (and team) and relevant government SMEs only. Expected Outcomes The government audience will include multiple agencies and professional levels with active roles in hypersonics S&T, with the task of critically evaluating the presented material to provide feedback on relevance and criticality.��� Planning Schedule For planning purposes, a high-level schedule of milestones is provided below.� Please note additional details will be provided to companies upon formal expressions of interest (response to this announcement).� Dates listed are subject to change. COVID-19 � There are still uncertainties related to the pandemic that may affect the plan to conduct this event as a face-to-face (F2F) engagement.� State restrictions will be monitored closely and all health and safety protocols (masks and physical spacing) will be strictly enforced for an in-person event.� Other options that may be considered include a hybrid F2F/virtual or entirely virtual. 2. The government is not obligated to enter into a contract with any entity as a result of IR&D collaborations from our dialogue. 3. Government technical support contractors may serve as government subject matter experts at the event. In those cases, company-to-company Non-Disclosure Agreements between the contractor SME and presenting company will be required before the contractor can serve as government SME in a given session. 4. All unclassified company Proprietary Data and Intellectual Property will be treated as Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).� The information considered in, and generated by, this event will not be approved for unlimited public release.
