Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Dale Bumpers Small Farms Research Center facility located in Booneville, Arkansas, has a requirement for 27 prefabricated open carports to be acquired and erected for cattle to serve as livestock shade structures. The work includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supplies necessary, �to construct the structures and erect them in the livestock pastures. USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed priced contract.� The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside.� The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5M.� Contractors shall not directly contact the�facility to discuss this requirement.� During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates issuing an RFP for this requirement on about Jan 27, 2022.� This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
