- PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT SEQUOIA AND KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS LARUE TRANSFER CASE RFQ No. 140P8622Q0012 The National Park Service (NPS), Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, located in Fresno County, California, has a requirement for a transfer case for a Larue T-95 Heavy Duty, Self-Propelled All Wheel Drive Dual Engine Rotary Snow Blower. The intent of this solicitation is to obtain quotes for a transfer case for a Larue T-95 Heavy Duty, Self-Propelled All Wheel Drive Dual Engine Rotary Snow Blower and meet all specifications below: � Must match existing transfer case (LAR 096270 Transfer Case, Fabco TC-170 PD 50/50) and mount to existing mounting brackets and be able to couple with forward and rear drive lines with no modifications. � The transfer case shall be two-speed, rear axle disconnect type. � Hi-low range selection shall be electric over air actuated operated from the cab and equipped with Smart Shift� to eliminate range shifting at excessive speeds. � For vehicle and equipment protection, if the shift is not completed by the electric/air system within one minute, the system shall cease attempts at range shift and notify the operator of the failure by a flashing light at the control switch. � Operating range of the transfer case must be capable to be displayed on the main dash LCD screen. � Transfer case shall have a torque transmission capacity exceeding the maximum torque developed by the engine and transmission and shall be approved for the application and be manufactured by the chassis builder for positive integration with drive system. � Must be compatible with Allison transmission 4500RDS_P � electronically controlled four-speed automatic minimum, with a low gear ratio of 3.51:1, and shall be supplied with the appropriate torque converter for this application. This procurement is set-aside for Total Small Business concerns only. All responsible sources with Small Business status may submit a proposal which, if timely received, will be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336350; the small business size standard is 1,500 employees. Award selection shall be made on a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable determination made after consideration of price and factors other than price. All work shall be performed under a single, fixed price purchase order. The RFQ will be available via electronic commerce only and may be accessed on or about January 12, 2022 at SAM.gov. The prospective Offeror is responsible for periodically checking the website for any amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFQ. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT: Offerors shall be required to have a DUNS number and an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov) in order to conduct business with the Federal Government. Offerors will be required to complete online Representations and Certifications at the SAM website.
