Description
DLA Land at Aberdeen anticipates issuing Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about February 28, 2022, for a five (5) year, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract, with an estimated contract value of $5,382,900.76.� The proposed action is for the acquisition of NSN 6140-01-534-3856, CSEL Rechargeable Battery (BB-2001A/U), part number BT-70581B, on a firm-fixed-price (FFP) basis. The CSEL Battery shall be manufactured to The Boeing Company�s specification 4866112-007. First Article Test will be required for vendors/contractors that have not been previously approved by The Boeing Company. The table below lists the annual best-estimated quantity, and total 5-year estimated quantity. The CSEL system provides the users with satellite communications, precision Global Positioning System (GPS) geo-location, and line-of-sight voice communications capabilities. The CSEL system provides the combat commanders and their maneuver forces with the ability to ensure rapid location and coordinated recovery of isolated personnel, thereby contributing to�full dimensional protection�by means of�information�and�decision superiority. Based on market research, this item is manufactured for military use only and are not commercial products; therefore, FAR Part 15 will apply to this acquisition.� This acquisition will be set aside for small business.
