- RFI Questions & Answers Project 549-19-191 Const. Replace Isolation Valves & Correct Plumbing Are these valves considered to be replaced (highlighted yellow below)?, there is not a note pointing to the valves. Drawing 2-P10. ANSWER: Yes, any valve specifically depicted on the plans individually is to be replaced. Are we replacing faucets on any mop sinks, lavatories? Or is it just replacing flush valves on Urinals and Water Closets? ANSWER: No fixtures are to be replaced. Only their isolation valves. Attached valve counts do not reflect, mop sinks, lavatories, or water closet isolation valves. Please clarify this note on 2-P10, I am unsure what we are being directed to do here. Sounds like we add up all the valves on all the notes and add another 50% to cover any missed that aren t tagged with the note. ANSWER: The word valve should read value . (50% VALUE). In the narrative, I see this statement on the double backflow, check valves and pressure reducing valves, Can we get quantities and sizes of each of these valves? ANSWER: See attached spreadsheet. Is all the scope being performed during normal business hours? Or will overtime/afterhours be required? ANSWER: Refer to VA project manager for accessibility Are we replacing any balancing valve? If so, we need sizes and quantities. ANSWER: See attached spreadsheet How many locations are we to assume can be changed out in one trip? ANSWER: This question pertains to the ability of the contractor as well as the accessibility of each site. Contractor will need to coordinate with their subcontractor to determine what they are capable of performing.
