- AMENDMENT 02 - 14 JAN 2022/1427 CST *Additional questions and answers AMENDMENT 01 - 11 JAN 2022/1010 CST*Questions/answers QUESTIONS & ANSWERS: 1.Can you provide us with the brand name you are looking for? -No: This is not a Brand Name Only or Brand Name or Equal requirement. The oven needs to fit the specifications listed below and in the SOW. Please refer to the attached SOW for more details. 2.Are you looking for an inline reflow oven or a batch style system? -Batch style oven 3.We have a few designsone is more of a reach-in oven on legs which has a 3x3x3 size availablethe other is a walk-in style of oven which has the smallest size 4 x 4 x 4. Which style do you require? (It likely depends on how you plan to load the oven) -The reach-in 3x3x3 oven design would work for this application. Items are loaded in by hand. 4.What is the process? (ie, curing, drying, preheating, etc.) -Heating parts for assembly interference fit. 5.What is the material of the engine parts? (ie steel, aluminum, plastic, etc.) -Nickel Alloy and Titanium 6.What are the approximate dimensions and weight of the product (total weight in the oven at one time)? -Normally widest item will be a disc with radius of ~30 and there may be 2 in the oven at a time (one on a shelf). Tallest item will be ~20. Heaviest load ~50lbs. 7.If parts will be loaded onto rack or shelf of some kind, is it open or perforated (grated) to allow air to pass vertically through/around the product freely to the ceiling? -At least 1 rack with adjustability is necessary. Rack may need to be re/moved in order to fit taller parts. A perforated rack is preferred for better heat circulation. 8.What is the normal operating temperature? -Operating temperatures will range within ~200F - ~600F. 9.Do you have a specific heatup rate that must be met? -No specific heat up rate is specified in tech data. 10.Will the parts be loaded into a preheated oven or will the oven be starting from cold with every batch? -Parts will be starting from cold. 11.Do you have any specific temperature uniformity requirements? Or do you need to meet AMS 2750 requirements? -No specific calibration standards required by tech data. Just basic manufacturer standards are fine. 12.Are there any solvents or volatiles on the product that will be present in the oven? If so, how much will be in the oven (maximum) per batch? (this is critical for NFPA and safety reasons) -No solvents or hazards on parts. Parts may have some very light oil. 13.Do you need any specific or special controls or instrumentation? (Our standard is a digital setpoint temperature controller) -The controller needs programmability features (assuming the setpoint controller does not have them already). 14.Chamber size of at least 3x3x3. Is there a specific size you would like? -3x3x3 will suffice, or as close to that without being under. 15.How long are the parts in the oven for? -Maximum 1 hour. 16.What kind of controls are you looking for? i.e. PLC/HMI vs pushbutton logic -Controls must be programmable for schedule setting. 17.What kind of door would you like to access the oven? i.e. vertical lift, bi-parting swing, other -The current oven has a swing door. 18.Will equipment be provided to move the oven into place or would we need to provide? -Equipment will be provided to move into place. Once the oven arrives, we will move it and ourselves. 19.Do you want us to quote class A or Class B? (A process that has volatiles in it requires the oven to be class A) -Class B will suffice. There are no volatile compounds going into the oven. 20.Is it possible to send a representative out for a site visit in order to get an accurate idea of the set-up specifications? -We aren't scheduling site visits at this time. ***Please see the attached Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (CSS) and Statement of Work (SOW) for complete Details*** F117 Oven The oven shall be rated to at least 600 degrees Fahrenheit. The internal dimensions shall be at least 36"" x 36"" x 36"". The power output shall be at least 13.5kW. A blower motor/fan for the exhaust duct shall be required. The preferred electrical input shall be 480VAC, but 208VAC is also acceptable. The Contractor shall provide Installation. The contractor shall provide Performance Verification. Contractor must meet all requirements outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
