Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL� In pursuant to FAR 5.203(a), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD), on behalf of Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), intends to increase the number of ballistic vests via a contract modification to contract HQ003421C0069 awarded to Southern Police Equipment Company, Inc. (DUNS: 058916180, Cage Code: 1TM05, Woman Owned Small Business) on 23 July 2021 for a period of performance (POP) of 23 July 2021 to 22 January 2022. This modification will extend the POP end date to 30 April 2022, and the estimated amount for this contract modification ranges from $100,000.00 to $125,000.00. Contract number HQ003421C0069 was issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a single source, and is related to Special Notice issued on ww.Sam.Gov under Notice ID:� HQ0034-21-R-0222.� The NAICS code for this procurement is 315990, Apparel Accessories and Other Apparel Manufacturing. Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. A commercial item determination was approved for this contract.� In order to meet the Government�s mission, customized ballistic vests and related services are required in support of a mission critical requirement.� Southern Police Equipment Company has previously provided 800 vests that are currently in use.� Failure to modify this contract will void existing warranties and repair/modification services on vests in current circulation.� The Contracting Officer has determined that Southern Police Equipment Company has the capability to not only meet all salient requirements for the customized ballistic vests but also deliver the product under an urgent schedule; therefore, only one source will be utilized in this contract modification. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged.
