- Description
- 1. General: The 6th Security Forces Squadron requires the rental of 42 metal detection magnetometers(42 walkthrough detectors and 42 hand held metal detectors)in order to screen guests for our upcoming2022 air show. 2. Equipment: The vendor will supply all parts to effectively set-up the 42 magnetometers. Theequipment must be set-up, calibrated, and tested by 1600 hrs, Thursday, 24 Mar 22. The equipmentmust remain set-up, calibrated, tested, and monitored for the entire duration of the airshow. Theequipment must be in working condition from the hours of 0700 hrs, 25 Mar 22 � 1800 hrs, 27 Mar 22. Equipment expected to match TSA standards in regards to the detection of metals, Vendor isresponsible to have sufficient personnel, tools and spare parts to maintain the equipment operational. Ifthe equipment requires adjustment, the vendor will complete the adjustment in a reasonable amount oftime to prevent extended usage loss from the affected unit or units. 3. Storage: If requested in advance, MacDill AFB will provide temporary storage of the equipment forno more than three days prior to and after the airshow dates (25-27 Mar 22). Storage will be in asecured area and will require pre-coordination with MacDill Security Forces personnel prior to gainingaccess. 4. Power: MacDill AFB will supply the power needed to run the magnetometers per manufacturersdirection. 5. Training: The vendor will supply a �train-the-trainer� course to 10 MacDill personnel in order tohelp maximize the use of equipment. 6. Set-up: MacDill AFB will provide manpower to assist with set-up and teardown of themagnetometers at their operating locations. Personnel will also be available for walk-throughs in orderto adequately calibrate the magnetometers. 7. Lodging and Meals: Vendor is responsible for all lodging and meals cost for their personnel. 8. Installation Access: MacDill AFB will provide vendor with base access passes for entry. The TankerWay commercial gate must be when transporting the magnetometer equipment on to the installation.For access without equipment on air show dates, Vendor will use the Bayshore gate. On 26 and 27March 2022, Vendor will arrive on site at least one hour prior airshow opening and remain until the endof the day (approximately 1800). 9. Other Items: Vendor will provide a sufficient amount of warning and caution signs associated to the magnetometers. Statement of Need 12 Jan 2022. 10. Cancellation: The government reserves the right to cancel this contract due to COVID-19 up to one week prior to the air show. The contractor shall not incur any costs for the contract prior to performance and/or delivery unless previously agreed upon by the government in writing.
