General Information: 765 ABS/CONF/PKA is conducting market research to determine potential sources having the capabilities and experience necessary to perform the required work as described herein.�This Request for Information (RFI) serves as a market research tool and is being used for planning purposes to determine availability of sources and gain industry insight for a potential future acquisition of Corrosion Control Services for Lajes Field, Azores Portugal. No award will be made from this RFI. The Government is seeking input from the industry to determine the availability of qualified sources which possess the technical capability to fulfill the requirement described above. No contract awards will be made from this notice and no solicitation is available on SAM.gov at this time. In order to develop a sound acquisition strategy, early industry participation is highly encouraged, however, participation in this effort is strictly voluntary. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party�s expense. The Government will not reimburse costs and will not be liable for any costs associated with responses to this notice. Respondents will not be notified of the responses to this notice. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Services Description: The following service description is similar to the corrosion control services that may be required in the future for Lajes Field. This would be a non-personal service in which the contractor shall provide corrosion repair, painting, maintenance and undercoating of vehicles consolidated at Lajes Field, Portugal. These vehicles will be delivered to the contractor�s facility by government personnel. Vehicle Corrosion Control and Repair, Painting, maintenance and undercoating will be performed at the Contractor�s facility. The Contractor shall furnish all parts, labor, tools, materials, equipment, supervision, facilities and transportation necessary to accomplish corrosion control, repair, painting and frame undercoating of vehicles. Corrosion control, repair, and painting consists of, but not limited to, repairing damaged metal or other materials due to corrosion, treating bare metal, priming/sealing and painting the entire vehicle. Upon completion, each vehicle's finish and appearance shall be free of deficiencies and of a quality that meets safe, serviceability, and appearance standards as outlined in T.O. 36-1-191. Examples of specific tasks, service summary, procedures and examples of potential vehicle types can be located in Attachment 1, DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS). Please note that if this RFI results in a future acquisition, there will be a site visit scheduled at that time at which the actual depth of the required repair per vehicle will be determined. � Requested Information: Since this RFI is for market research purposes, industry experts are encouraged to share any information that may assist our contracting office in planning future acquisitions. Those interested in providing a response to this RFI are requested to fill out Attachment 2, Service Provider � Questions, and return this document with a capability statement. The capability statement needs to include the following information at minimum: a. Company name b. Company location c. Point of Contact name and email address d. Is your company registered in SAM? (yes or no) If no, are you willing to register? e. If yes, provide your company CAGE and DUNS numbers. If no, you may disregard. f. Any past performance under NAICS Code 811121, or of the same services as described in this notice and attached draft PWS. Submission Instructions: All interested vendors should notify this office by email no later than 24 January 2022, �14:00, Azores local time. Responses must include the RFI title in the subject line of the email response. Response shall be submitted to the following 3 emails: ashley.fantazia.pt@us.af.mil, dominick.cagle@us.af.mil, and 65conf.lgc.all@us.af.mil. Only electronic responses will be accepted. Responses submitted by any other means will not be considered.
