Department of Veterans Affairs ��� Network Contracting Office 16 - HOUSTON In Support of the Alexandria VA Medical Center Pineville, LA REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 36C25622Q0361 1.� Contract Title:� Two (2) Siemens ACUSON S2000 MC9-4 Transducers. 2.� Background/Statement of Work:� The Alexandria VA Medical Center in Pineville, Louisiana is seeking a supplier of two (2) Siemens ACUSON S2000 MC9-4 Transducers for the Ultrasound Imaging department. 3.� Specifications/Characteristics: �� Item # Description/Part Number* Qty 11289134� ACUSON S2000, TRNSDCR, MC9-4, MP2, UPG 2 � The MC9-4 transducer provides essential functionality for the gynecological ultrasound exam, with superior image quality and penetration. Extremely lightweight and thin, the transducer is ergonomic for the user and comfortable for the patient. The MC9-4 utilizes a patented ACUSON micro-pinless transducer connector. This is a Transducer or Component of an existing Siemens Ultrasound S2000 unit. A Security Accreditation package is not required. The transducers must be compatible with the Alexandria VAHCS already existing Siemens Ultrasound S2000 units. REQUESTED RESPONSES: The intent of this Request for Information is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post soon. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following: 1. Please respond to this RFI if you can provide the exact brand name products listed above. In the response, please cite your business size status, part number(s)/description, and DUNS#. a. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, please include the contract details in your response. b. DISTRIBUTORS: You must provide proof that you are an authorized distributor. VA does not accept grey market items. 2. Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Small Business Manufacturers. If your company is a small business concern, please respond to this RFI. 3. Please note that if no responses to this notice are received from authorized distributors of the cited brand name, then this action will be sole sourced to the manufacturer cited in the Background section above.
