Description

The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst�intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract with Microsoft Corporation for its Ecosystem Partner Services Offering (EPSO) that supports the imbedded Windows Operating System (Windows 7) in the Program Loader Sets.� The EPSO is offered by Microsoft after regular and extended support for the operating system has expired.� It only provides security updates for the operating system. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6.302-1.� Microsoft Corporation�is considered the only supplier.� � However, the Government will consider all responses received within 7 days after the publication of this synopsis.� A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Microsoft Corporation owns the specifications, and data rights for Windows 7, the Government does not.
