Description

The Air Force Test Center (AFTC), Installation Contracting Division (PZIOAC), Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to STERIS Corporation, 5960 Heisley Road, Mentor, OH 44060, CAGE: 0NWN1. The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Commercial Purchase Order and carried out as a sole source action (not competitively awarded). The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 10 United States Code (USC) 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b). This authority is supported by an approved Single Source Justification. �The applicable NAICS code is 339113, and the size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 750 employees. Currently Eglin 96th Medical Group (96 MDG) utilizes Steris steam sterilizers for preparation of all surgical instruments within the Operating Room (OR).� Without this equipment, the OR would have a work stoppage for all surgeries.� These four pieces of equipment require annual inspections and maintenance.� Steris is the sole manufacture and authorized supplier of parts for their equipment. The replacement parts are compliant with the original equipment manufacturer specifications and meets safety standards. Additionally, Steris has trained personnel ready to respond to scheduled preventive maintenance inspection requirements as well as can support 96 MDG�s emergency/repairs requests on-site service within 48 hours of notification. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation package will be issued. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. All responses received by 10:00 am CST on 27 January 2022 will be considered by the Government. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes.
