Description
The Contractor shall furnish materials, labor, equipment, and superintendence for the work described below and within the construction documents. The work includes, but is not limited to: project mobilization and demobilization, project management and oversite, demolition, furnishing materials and labor to construct items described below, quality control, cleanup, and removal of all debris and waste generated during performance of the work. This project involves removal and proper disposal of exterior lead-based paint, repairing/replacing damaged boards, and painting components of buildings located on Lighthouse Island to preserve them in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. This project also involves removing a 55-gallon waste oil drum from underneath the Boathouse. Add alternates will be to remove lead paint and repaint the interior of the Privy, Oil House, and lead base paint removal and disposal on the Boat House rails and Fog Signal Building tram rail system.. All work items that are not specifically called out are considered incidental and no direct compensation will be provided. This work shall be performed on a firm fixed price lump sum basis. This RFP is being solicited on an unrestricted basis under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 562910 Environmental Remediation Services. The location of the project site is Marquette County, Michigan. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to participate in this requirement. The SAM can be found at https://www.sam.gov. Payments will be made via Electronic Funds Transfer using the data within the SAM registration database. A virtual site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, January 25, 2022. See Solicitation for detailed information. All inquiries and questions must be submitted in writing; no verbal questions will be accepted. Requests for Information shall be emailed to: Eric_Brown@fws.gov not later than Wednesday, Friday, February 11, 2022 at 5:00 PM EST. Proposal packages are due not later than Friday, February 25, 2022 at 12:00 PM EST. Anticipated date of award is March 11, 2022.
