- Description
- This is a DRAFT SOLICITATION for a new Medium Class Hopper Dredge (MCHD) procurement to replace the current dredge McFARLAND. The new MCHD will be part of the USACE minimum fleet and operate for the Philadelphia District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.� This Draft Solicitation is intended to share the intended solicitation with industry for their comments and suggestions so that the Formal Solicitation is acceptable to industry.� In conjunction with this Draft Solicitation, there will be an Industry Day held on February 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM.� Details of the Industry Day is included in SAM.gov as a separate announcement titled: (Industry Day-W912BU Medium Class Hopper Dredge Replacement). This is NOT an official Request for Proposals (RFP). Please DO NOT submit draft proposals. Comments are highly encouraged and will be accepted by the POC referenced herein. This DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP) is for informational purposes only and shall not be considered as an Invitation for Bid, Request for Quotation, or Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described herein. Your response to this RFP will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government will arise as a result of a contractor's submission of responses to this announcement or the Government's use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. The information provided may be used by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in developing its acquisition strategy, Performance Work Statement (PWS) and/or Performance Specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this draft RFP or to otherwise pay for the information submitted in response to this draft RFP. Responses to this draft RFP should be submitted NLT 1400 Tuesday, 22 February 2022.
