- Description
- NOTE: This project was previously titled ""High Resolution Connectivity Profiles of the Human Vagus Nerve"" in the Request for Information (RFI) posted on SAM.gov on 09Sep2021 and the Small Business Sources Sought Notice (SBSS) posted on SAM.gov on 11Nov2021. It is now titled ""Reconstructing Vagal Anatomy (REVA)."" There are no substantive changes to the Statement of Objectives as posted with the RFI and SBSS. The NIH Stimulating Peripheral Activity to Relieve Conditions (SPARC) program was launched with the goal of catalyzing the development of next-generation peripheral neuromodulation, or bioelectronic medicine, by providing access to high-value datasets, maps, and predictive simulations. The SPARC program has a need for high-resolution connectivity profiles for human vagal nerves with special focus at pre-defined points of interest (branching points and potential sites of neuromodulation device interface), in support of Council-cleared activities for SPARC stage 2. A Request for Information with a draft Statement of Objectives was posted on SAM.gov on 09Sep2021. A Sources Sought Notice with a draft Statement of Objectives was posted on SAM.gov on 11Nov2021. A three-year cost reimbursement type contract is anticipated with an award made on or about 01Jul2022. The anticipated period of performance is 01Jul2022 through 30Jun2023. The anticipated contract may comprise one (1), one-year base period and two (2), one-year option periods each of which may be exercised unilaterally by the Government for a potential total period of performance of 36 months (01Jul2022 through 30Jun2025). The solicitation will be issued in an electronic format only, on this web site (https://www.SAM.gov). Offerors are responsible for routinely checking this web site for any amendments to the solicitation. No individual notification of amendments will be provided. Proposals will be due sixty six (66) days after the date of the issuance of the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Proposals shall be submitted via the NIH Electronic Contract Proposal System (eCPS) at https://ecps.nih.gov/. This will be a full and open competition. The intended procurement will be classified under NAICS 541715, Size Standard 1,000. One or two awards may be made. Questions regarding this solicitation are due by 09Feb2022 via email to Louis A. Kuta, Sr. at louis.kuta@nih.gov. Answers will follow. A pre-award conference is tentatively scheduled for 11Feb2022. Information regarding this conference is anticipated to be posted on https://commonfund.nih.gov/sparc in the coming week. Interested parties are responsible for checking this site for pre-award conference details and updates. No collect telephone calls will be accepted.
