Description

Presolicitation Notice GAOA Jenkins Crossing Trail Bridge Replacement This project consists of design, purchasing, delivering and installing a 60 foot span prefabricated steel truss trail bridge and 2 precast concrete grade beams.� The site is remote and will require the use of a helicopter for transport.� The contractor is responsible for coordinating the weight of the various bridge components with the available helicopter. The existing bridge will be removed.� All nonnative components must be removed from the forest.� Existing stringers will be left on site but moved from across the river as directed by the COR. All work shall be in compliance with the contract documents. Work includes, but is not limited to: purchase, transportation, and installation of a new pedestrian/stock/2 wheel motorized bridge, grade beams, and approaches as per the attached plans, and the removal of the existing bridge structure and components. The Contracting Officers Representative (COR) will designate a staging/laydown/assembly area at the construction site.�� Limited camping for project personnel will be allowed at the site with permission of the COR. Staging of materials for the project will be allowed in designated areas inside the project boundary if approved in writing by the COR at the time of the project implementation.� PROJECT LOCATION The Jenkins Crossing Bridge spans French Creek on the Payette National Forest,� approximately 25 miles North of McCall Idaho.� Coordinates are Lat 45.2850 Long -116.0448. Access to the site is limited to two wheel motorized, hiking, or pack stock by trail.� The bridge will have to be flown in.� Contract Time Depending on the snow year, the site is commonly accessible between July 15th and October 30th of most years.� However the best time to install the bridge would likely be between July 15th and September 30th. � The magnitude of proposed project is between�$250,000 and $500,000. Project drawings will be provided as attachments to the Request for Proposal (RFP). Dept. of Labor, Construction Wage Rate General Decision Numbers: ID20220086 01/07/2022, Highway, Adams, Payette, Valley and Washington Counties. The complete solicitation package will be attached and made available only through SAM.gov, https://sam.gov/content/home on or within 15 days of this notice.� Anyone wishing to participate in this proposed procurement must obtain their copy from SAM.gov.� Copies will not be mailed from the Contracting Office.� All amendments will be posted on SAM.gov.� Contractors will be solely responsible for obtaining amendments from this site to update files. This requirement is being solicited as a Small Business set-aside in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.5, with the intent to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract.� A single award will be made from the solicitation. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http:www.sam/gov/ before award of contract; failure to register in the SAM database may cause your firm to be ineligible for the award and removed from consideration. �NAICS:� 237310, $39.5M
