- Description
- The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk, Contracting Division, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract to procure MIL-100S-1 welding electrode for the Norfolk, Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia 23709.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes is/are 333992. The contract line item is as follows: CLIN 0001: N42158-13018943, QTY: 10 DRUMS Specifications: MANUFACTURED UNDER LOT CONTROL AND TESTED TO THE CONFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS OF NAVSEA T9074-BC-GIB-010/0200 TYPE MIL-100S-1 (ALSO MEETS MIL-E-23765/2E) MIL-E-23765 ACQUISITION REQUIREMENTS(6.2.1) (a) Electrodes and rods, welding, bare, solid, and alloyed cored; MIL-E-23765. (b) Electrodes and rods, welding, bare, solid, or alloyed cored; MIL-E-23765/2E. (c) Type � MIL-100S-1 ����� Form - 4 ����� Size - 0.062� Diameter ����� Spool Weight � 500LB DRUM (d) First article test is required. (e) Alloy identity testing of each electrode or rod after final marking is not required. (f) Length - N/A (g) Level of preservation, packaging, and packing shall be as specified elsewhere in the contract/purchase order. (h) Marking requirements shall be as specified elsewhere in the contract/purchase order. MIL-E-23765/2E ORDERING DATA (6.2) (a) Whether the copper content should be restricted: NO (b) Where higher maximum yield strength is allowed: NOT ALLOWED (c) The required mechanical properties for type MIL-120S test welds which have been stress relieved: NOT APPLICABLE (d) Time at the stress relief temperature: One hour per inch of weld thickness (for weld thicknesses less than 1 inch, the minimum holding time shall be proportional to the weld thickness but not less than 30 minutes). (e) Whether MIL-100S or MIL-120S weld metal test plates should be tested for conformance with stress-relieved requirements: MIL-100S-1 shall be tested for conformance with the stress relieved requirements of MIL-E-23765. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (i) Qualification: the items offered must be qualified via MIL-E-23765B(1) SUP 1A QPL-23765 MIL-100S-1; (see https://qpldocs.dla.mil/search/parts.aspx?qpl=1948) (ii) Price; (iii) Past performance: Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) will be reviewed to determine vendor responsibility The relative importance of the evaluation factors are in descending order. The solicitation number will be SPMYM122Q0036. The solicitation is expected to be posted on or around 20 January 2022 and will close on 27 January 2022 and responses may be emailed to Devin Lasalle at devin.lasalle@dla.mil.
