Description

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT SYNOPSIZED (IAW FAR PART 5.203) FOR OUR REFUSE/RECYCLING COLLECTION AND OPERATION OF CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS LANDFILL CONTRACT INVITATION FOR BID. THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED NO LESS THAN 15 DAYS AT THE GOVERNMENT POINT OF ENTRY AND SUBJECT TO EXTENSION PRIOR TO THE RELEASE OF THE INVITATION FOR BID. This announcement is not an Invitation for Bid (IFB), but instead a Presolicitation Notice to industry to serve as notification of a pending IFB release of the Fort Riley Refuse IFB for Fort Riley, KS. Upon release of the IFB, a bid from industry will be requested from interested and qualified bidders. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this PRESOLICITATION announcement or any follow-up information requests to include the full IFB once issued. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than noted above. The Directorate of Public Works, Fort Riley, KS is seeking a Small Business Administration (SBA) small business that is 8(a) certified with the experience, personnel, and capability to perform Refuse/Recycling collection and operate a construction debris landfill as defined in the Performance Work Statement. The Contractor shall provide these services to the locations designated in the resulting contract in compliance with all local, state, and Federal laws. � The awarded under this contract will be within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562111 (Solid Waste Collection), with a corresponding Small Business Size Standard of $41.5 million. The proposed contract will have a base year and four year ordering periods and will include FAR 52-217-8, which could potentially result in an additional six months. Interested sources should be advised that while a full solicitation is expected to be released no less than 15 days to industry, the Government reserves the right to extend this posting. No visits with industry will be permitted with any Fort Riley personnel in response to this anticipated Invitation for Bid. A Site Visit IS anticipated at this time.
