- Description
- This is a Sources Sought notice requesting information in support of identifying interested sources capable of providing fully and partially instrumented XT901-GE-900 turboshaft engines for use in the (Apache) AH-64(e) and (Blackhawk) UH-60 aircraft, in support of the Aviation Turbine Engine Project Office (ATEPO).� A fully instrumented engine would include numerous thermocouples, accelerometers, pressure probes, strain gauges, torque sensors, vibration sensors, and enabling harnesses/brackets.� A partially instrumented engine would have a subset of each of the key hardware items. This is not a solicitation. No solicitation exists at this time nor will a contract be awarded as a result of this request.� Respondents are responsible for all expenses associated with responding to the Sources Sought. The information obtained will be used for planning purposes only. Clearly mark any proprietary information. Data submitted in response to this Sources Sought that is marked �proprietary� will be handled accordingly and will not be returned. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to determine interest, industry capabilities, and recommendations from industry vendors regarding XT901-GE-900 turboshaft engine instrumentation for the Aviation Turbine Engines Project Office, Program Executive Office, Aviation (PEO Aviation).� The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336412. See�Below ��Sources Sought Requirements - Description of Information Requested� for a description of the information requested. The Government desires that all software and hardware have, at a minimum, Government Purpose Rights (GPR).� The Government does not own a complete Technical Data Package (TDP) for the XT901-GE-900 Series Engine, including system/ subsystem drawings, tooling drawings, software source code or models and simulations. All interested firms with capabilities identified herein are encouraged to respond to this Sources Sought.� Technical questions, data requests and industry responses to this Sources Sought are to be sent via email to Catherine Hill, Catherine.w.hill2.civ@army.mil, CCAM-PLB.� Respondents are requested to put �Sources Sought Response � XT901-GE-900 Engine Instrumentation� in the subject line of the e-mail. Electronic transmissions must not exceed 5 megabytes and responses in the form of white papers should be limited to 25 pages in length and may include technical specifications and product sheets as deemed necessary. All material submitted in response to this Sources Sought must be unclassified. Whether your company represents that it meets the definition of any Small Business Program Representations described in FAR 52.219-1 (Small Business; HUB-Zone Small Business; Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses; Women-Owned Small Business; or Small Disadvantaged Business). Point(s) of contact including name, phone number, address, and email Describe your organization's XT901-GE-900 engine instrumentation capabilities and provide technical data for how your engine components meets Airworthiness Release (AWR) criteria and integrates into the engine as well as any software interfaces. Provide technical data describing the instrumentation including the dimensions and weight of each component. Provide any existing test reports and data from previous airworthiness qualification efforts for each component. Provide any commercial or catalog pricing information for each components. Identify conditions or issues requested in the Sources Sought that cannot be met or may interfere with the intention of this project. Do you currently maintain an office with technical, logistics and contracting personnel in the Huntsville, AL vicinity? Provide any other pertinent information that will assist us in this assessment.
