- Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement Subject: Dentsply Sirona AXEOS 3D Panorex X-Ray Unit Posting Date: January 31, 2022 Due Date: February 4, 2021 15:00 PM EST Solicitation No.: 36C24422Q0226 This is a Notice of Intent published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This Notice of Intent is for a proposed a sole source, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b) - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The primary North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 6515 - Medical Equipment and Accessories and Supplies. The most current Business Size Rating for this NAICS is 1,000. This is not a request for competitive proposals or a request for offers. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Lebanon Health Care intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Sirona Dental Inc or authorize distributors for the Dentsply Sirona AXEOS 3D Panorex X-Ray Unit. Under the authority FAR 6.302-1. The proposed sole source action is to establish source(s) of supply that will allow familiarity of the Panorex X-ray Unit. This notice is being posted so that any unknown vendors capable of providing this item or equivalent may come forward and express their interest and capability in delivering the Dentsply Sirona AXEOS 3D Panorex X-Ray Unit to the LVAMC. If your company/organization can provide the required item, please provide your entity's capability statement to lashawn.knight@va.gov. In addition to your capability statement, please also provide any applicable distribution agreements regarding Sirona Dental Inc, Inc, your company's size and socioeconomic status, and any other information pertinent to this requirement. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action will be based on the responses to this notice and solely to the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Dentsply Sirona AXEOS 3D Panorex X-Ray Unit Statement of Need Background: The Lebanon VA Medical Center (LVAMC) has an Urgent need for a brand name, firm fixed price requirement for one (1) Dentsply Sirona AXEOS 3D X-Ray Unit, SiCAT Software, Implant and Airway Included, and multiple Schick 33 #1(16), and #2(4) Sensors, Windows 10 Workstations (28), SIDICOM, Xeon Quad Core 3D Server (RACK), and Cerec Primescan accessories. Installation, Clinical Training, Biomed Service is included. Scope of Work: The Dentsply, Sirona Unit mentioned above is the unit required based on quality of imaging, durability, and that it has CEREC Primescan and CEREC MC integration which are other Dentsply systems utilized in conjunction with this unit and dental care within the LVAMC. The software and equipment are completely integrated with each other for single click user deployment from product to product.
