- Description
- Final Follow-up Questions to RFI 1. With the new lighting on Amendment 5, will there be a new light layout provided or does the lighting NOT affect the layout? The substitution lighting fixtures will need to be equal (such as style, shape, size, finish, wattage, lumen output, etc.) as the specified fixtures in the contract documents. Lighting layout will not be affected. The substitution fixtures will need to be submitted to A/E for review and approval during shop drawings process. The fixtures will not be approved if they don t meet the design requirements. Is there any way to find out what Model Fire alarm is currently in the building? See response to question 71. The answer to RFI #13 says that the GC is to be responsible for the Commissioning Agent and to refer to 01 91 00, Section 1.2. Nowhere in that section does it say that the GC is responsible for hiring the CxA. In fact, 01 91 00, Section 1.8 says the VA will hire the CxA under separate contract. Please clarify as whole building commissioning is a sizable cost-driver. Thank you for your help on this matter. Per spec 01 91 00 Section 1.8 the VA will engage CxA under separate contract.
