Description
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) anticipates awarding one (1) Cost-Plus Fixed-Fee(CPFF) completion form contract for the Statement of Objectives (SOO) Attachment 1, for a totalof one (1) contract. The work to be performed includes the development of end-to-end directedenergy (DE) modeling and simulation (M&S) software, the application of end-to-end DE M&Ssoftware, and general development and support of the Galaxy Simulation Software Suite (GSSS).The GSSS is government owned with unlimited rights. The work with the GSSS and underlyingDE simulations will advance the state-of-the-art and scientific knowledge in DE technology, andincrease knowledge of the physical processes affecting the high-fidelity simulation of directedenergy devices which are applied in selected environments. The software deliverables must beeasily portable to multiple computer architectures with a focus on High Performance Computing(HPC). Software must run efficiently and be scalable on massively parallel computers and/orhardware accelerators. Software and directed energy system or component models must bedelivered to the Government in source code format with unlimited rights. Documentation isrequired to describe the theory behind the software design as well as how to compile and run thesoftware. Specifically, this work falls within the Directed Energy Directorates High PowerElectromagnetic Division, Numerical Simulation (AFRL/RDH), Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.
