Description
This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for the following components which are part of or used with the Truck Mounted Electric Power Plant III (EPP III), NSN: 6115-01-374-5038, used with the PATRIOT Missile Defense System. NSNs include: 2815-12-345-6490 (PN: 0418 7946 CAGE: D2689) � ENGINE BLOCK, DIESEL 2910-12-346-1273 (PN: 0418 9268 CAGE: D2689) � PUMP, FUEL, METERING AND DISTRIBUTING 2920-12-344-0101 (PN: 0117 9133 CAGE: D2689) � STARTER, ENGINE 2950-12-345-6733 (PN: 0418 3618 CAGE: D2689) � TURBOCHARGER, ENGINE 2920-12-314-0812 (PN: 0117 6510 CAGE: D2689) � GENERATOR, ENGINE ACCESSORY 5975-01-568-3010 (PN: 13227E6125 CAGE: 97403) � JUNCTION BOX ASSEMBLY, GENERATOR/LOAD BANK The EPP III is the main electric power source for the PATRIOT Missile Defense System and the selected spare parts and test equipment have been identified for maintenance and sustainment purposes. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these items is only available for the Junction Box with NSN: 5975-01-568-3010. Suppliers capable of furnishing these items must so indicate, by writing via email to scott.h.mahoney4.civ@army.mil. The response must include production lead time, production capacity by month, surge capacity, number of years part will be available, ranges for price breaks if applicable or any other information that could affect the acquisition, supply, and delivery of the parts. The response should also include documentation such as a copy of a purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with these parts from the supplier listed above. Successful suppliers may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this This Sources sought announcement (SSA) or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this SSA. This SSA is for planning and market research purposes only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business. �Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and/or to assist in making acquisition strategy decisions in the future.�
