Description

The Birmingham VA Medical Center research needs equipment of a GeoMx DSP System and reagents (GEOMX GEOSPATIAL TRANSCRIPTOMICS-REAGENTS). This equipment will be utilized to continue to support research projects currently being conducted at the Birmingham VA. The VA requires a high-throughput automated spatial profiling technology for multiplexed measurements of protein and gene expression in morphological context. This system must be able to concomitantly provides superior genetic and morphologic data. GeoMx DSP System and reagents characteristics as follows: Reagents to Multiplex many analytes on one tissue section in a single pass Single antigen retrieval without effects from order-of-addition Reagents to quantify over 18000 RNA transcripts in a single reaction for mouse and human Reagents for platform which is compatible with FFPE tissue sections Security clearance is not required. Vendors will not install, upgrade or access VA systems or VA patient sensitive information. The system is a stand-alone system not integrated with the VA IT. This is a Sources Sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (large business, small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, etc.), relative to NAICS code 334516. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based on responses to this synopsis, the Government may issue this RFQ as a Brand Name or Equal requirement in accordance with VAAR Clause 852.211-73. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement and who is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller of all the items listed above, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office than no later than Monday, February 21, 2022 12:00 PM EST. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
