- Description
- This Sources Sought (SS) specifically seeks capability information from 8(a) vendors. In order to respond to the SS, the agency is requesting all vendors to submit a response viathe below Google Form link: https://forms.gle/ZjcGv8vBRqUe3TC47 The National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) Central Operations (NCO), an office under the National Weather Service (NWS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce (DOC), has a need for network support, knowledge and expertise in the operations and maintenance of networking services, equipment, and software. Services will be required in the following areas for a broad range of network and communication capabilities to NWS and other parts of NOAA as well as external agencies. NWS networks interface with a wide variety of partners and customers to support the NWS mission by collecting and distributing raw and processed meteorological data and products. All observational data ingested by NWS systems passes through the NWS networks and the network acts as a message switch which routes weather related products to meet our customers requirements. All mission critical watches and warnings, which are intended to save life and property, are routed through these networks. NCO is tasked with ensuring the operational viability of these networks. This requirement includes installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, optimization, patching, security hardening, troubleshooting, recovery, and decommissioning to the existing network infrastructure Please be advised that your participation in this SS is not required to ensure participation in future solicitations and contract awards. Participation is this SS is voluntary and the Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this SS. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation as a result of this SS. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Respondents will not be notified of the result of the review. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached to the sam.gov posting to provide additional context to the capability areas described within the Google Form.
