Description

Intent to Sole Source The 139th Airlift Wing, Contracting Office, Saint Joseph, MO intends to issue a sole-source contract to Textron Systems Corporation (DUNS 003090198) for the inspection and repair of the Man-portable aircraft survivability trainer (MAST) with Laser. Part number: MAST-20. The anticipated contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) sole source acquisition. Textron Systems Corporation is the sole source provider for this service due to being the original equipment manufacturer of this MAST and have the unique expertise to inspect, evaluate and make any necessary repairs to the equipment. The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 10 United States Code (USC) 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does it restrict the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT.
