- Description
- Furnish all personnel, services, materials, and transportation necessary for the Operation and Maintenance and support services for US Navy Medical Research Unit Six (NAMRU-6) facilities. This facility consists of medical research laboratory facilities and support structures and components requiring operation and maintenance in a continuous and satisfactory condition on a 24 hour basis, 7 days per week. NAMRU-6 facilities and systems are primarily centered in Lima, Peru, but also include geographically dispersed satellite facilities. Requirements include preventive, predictive, demand, and emergency maintenance of facility systems and components at specified facilities, including but not limited to architectural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation.� Limited grounds keeping services are also required.� Defense Base Act (DBA) Insurance will be required as applicable. The project is operated under the direction of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, Mobile, Alabama. It is anticipated that a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract will be awarded for a base and four one-year options. In general (not all inclusive), work will require knowledge of the functional operation of medical research facilities or facilities of similar complexity, relating to the efficient use of the facility, equipment, facility support systems, and building structures. Since the facilities will be in full operation, the Contractor will be required to minimize interference with the daily operation of the laboratories and support facilities and will be required to comply with the requirements of a number of regulatory and accrediting bodies, such as the American Association for Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC). The facilities to be covered include Bio-safety Levels (BSL)-2, and BSL-3 research laboratories and laboratory support functions, vivarium facilities, administrative spaces, parking areas and structures, and supporting systems and utilities. In addition, Contractor personnel may be required to meet security and health screening requirements. This procurement is unrestricted. The size standard for which is a concern, including its affiliates whose average annual gross revenue does not exceed $41,500,000.00 for the past three (3) years under NAICS 561210.
