Description

CGC MUNRO� ALAMEDA, CA 94501� The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, National Security Cutters Branch 2, Alameda, CA anticipates awarding this procurement to MTU AMERICA INC.� as the only sole source and has proprietary control over all parts listed below:� QTY 2 LOT�KMW118757 - Hyd Valve Assembly QTY 1 LOT FREIGHT CHARGES Note/Disclaimer: MTU is the only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency Requirements, i.e. unique capabilities, Limited number of sources, Proprietary data or Brand Name Mandatory. MTU is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified technical representative. The OEM is the only known manufacturer that has the techniques, design specifications, testing, quality assurance capability, and documentation necessary to manufacture these parts as used onboard Coast Guard Cutters. The Coast Guard did not purchase the manufacturer's proprietary data rights, and therefore, cannot determine with certainty that an alternative service could properly perform these adjustments. Failure to conform to the OEM's specifications, could cause further damage to the engines. This procurement will be made on behalf of the USCGC MUNRO.� Vendor will provide the part/service stated in the scope of work.� NAICS Code # 336611 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0800 Pacific Time, 28FEB22 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. This will be awarded via Sole Source, to MTU AMERICA INC.� and this posting id is for informational purposes only. However if you feel this is not a sole source, please reach out to the contact listed. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All questions concerning this notice must be submitted in writing the Contracting Officer, email address is: Barbara.Falero@uscg.mil� The solicitation is restricted to:� MTU AMERICA INC.� �Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited.� If no affirmative responses are received by the date specified above to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to MTU AMERICA INC.�
