- Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Albuquerque VAMC, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Teledyne Hanson for the Research CD14 Comparative Dissolution Tester. The Cooperative Studies Program Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center (CRPCC) supports Department of Veterans Affairs with pharmaceutical products used in clinical studies. Patient safety is key to successful studies so towards this goal, CRPCC conducts frequent/various testing of products to ensure they are safe and effective. One testing process involves dissolution testing to assess the rate at which the product is released. Proper testing ensures the product does not dissolve too slowly or too quickly causing patient negative effects. Workload requirements continually increase to the point the CRPCC s lab requires abilities to run more than one method at a time are required to replace existing units and keep the lab s equipment numbers at the same quantity/footprint. This Dissolution Tester is the only one available with the 14-vessel configuration, which is required by VA. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source who can provide an equivalent product with these features described above may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than March 5th, 4:30PM, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at lynn.portman@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
