- ***INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE NOTICE-*** Estimated Date of Award: 5 Apr, 2022 Synopsis: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Columbia, South Carolina intends to award a sole source award directly to SDVOSB vendor Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions for the following: Base + Four - One (1) year Options for Purchase of Cancer Markers and associated equipment (CPT) for cancer detection. for Columbia VAMC. The authorized SDVOSB provider is Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions, DUNS 964899483. The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 325413 with a business size standard of 1250 employees. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 13.106-1 which states that Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Market research conducted found Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions to be the sole SDVOSB vendor able to provide the Biocardis Idylla products and equipment required to meet the needs of the Columbia VA. Offerors that are interested in submitting a quotation for service required shall provide evidence they are an authorized provider for the Biocardis Idylla products and equipment. Furthermore, the Contracting Officer has determined no opportunities for competition exist for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 7 calendar days (NLT) Mar 8, 2022 at 4:00p.m. ET) after date of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete with the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
