- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)//Sources Sought: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR Quotations BUT INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY! �It does not constitute a solicitation and/or quote and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only and shall not be considered an Invitation for Bids, Request for Quotations, or a Request for Proposal. Do not submit a proposal or quote. This market research is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Additionally, there is no obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described in this Sources Sought Notice. You will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that you incur in responding to this Sources Sought Notice. Any contract that might be awarded based on information received or derived from this market research will be the outcome of a competitive process. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to pay for the information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. The RFI/sources sought number NNK22ZES003L shall be used to reference any written responses to this RFI. This notice is issued by NASA/John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC) to post a draft Requirements document to solicit responses from interested parties. This document is for information and planning purposes and to allow industry the opportunity to verify reasonableness and feasibility of the requirement, as well as promote competition. NASA/KSC is conducting a sources sought for companies that can provide Rollout Purge Units (RPU). The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Codes proposed , but not limited to, are 333415, Air-Conditioning and Warm Air Heating Equipment and Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing and 488119, Other Airport Operations. The size standard for 333415 is 1,250 employees and for 488119 is $35.0 million dollars. The PSC is 4120, Air Conditioning Equipment. Please see the attached draft Requirements Document. Provide the following in your response. Business name, address, Data Universal Numbering Systems (DUNS) Number, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, and point of contact information Business size under applicable NAICS including socio-economic category (Large, Small, 8(a) Participant, Small Disadvantaged Business, HUBZone, Woman-Owned Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Non-Profit) Capability Statement � Describe your organization�s capability of providing the RPU as described in the requirements. Any interested business concern must submit a no longer that 10-page capability statement addressing its ability to meet the requirements listed in the Requirements document. Interested parties are also welcome to identify any ambiguities with the requirements and are welcome to suggest enhancements to the requirements and include them separately with their capability statement. The government is interested in all businesses including (8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), or, if applicable based on NAICS code, Economically disadvantaged women-owned small business (EDWOSB) Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) that are interested in performing this requirement. As stipulated in FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. �No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. �The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI/sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This RFI/sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. �Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any government assessments. �The Government's evaluation of the capability statements received will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses, or any particular small business designation (e.g. SDVOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), SDB, WOSB, VOSB, etc.).
