Description
The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is releasing the attached Draft Scope of Work as part of a Request for Information (RFI) to solicit comments and improve the quality of the anticipated Request for Proposal for the Washington Union Station (WUS) Architect and Engineer Service Program (NAICS 541310).� FRA is contemplating an award following FAR Sub-Part 36.6 - Architect-Engineer Services. The FRA is interested in obtaining information from industry concerning their capabilities, experience, areas of expertise, knowledge in building and life safety code compliance to fulfill the requirements. The objective of this contract is for the contractor to furnish all necessary services, including but not limited to, qualified personnel, labor, material, equipment and services to conduct/perform the following: review program plans/drawings or submittals (comprises: architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, sewage, others as applicable); review of existing specifications; perform special inspections (for construction, and infrastructure) and/or review for ongoing construction work; ensure compliance with the applicable design and construction codes, standards and guidance; attend meetings representing the government as the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ); and provide related consulting services.� All in accordance with the Scope of Work. In response to this RFI, the vendors are asked to provide the following information: 1. Company Information (Name/Primary Point of Contact/Phone Number/E-mail Address/Business Size) 2. Capabilities statement describing experience and past performance on similar requirements. 3. Answer questions in the attached RFI Questions for the WUS Program. Early industry involvement through comments, questions, and recommendations, is sought for refining the Draft Scope of Work and contributing to program success. Comments, questions, and recommendations shall be submitted via email to Luis Frontera, Contract Specialist, at Luis.Frontera@dot.gov . All responses shall be received by March 17, 2022 at noon, 12:00 pm EST, local Washington, D.C. time. NOTE: This RFI is for market research purposes only and is not a part of a selection process. This RFI is issued solely to obtain information and for planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposal.
