*** Updated Attachment - ""Industry QA, Answer to Question 1 Revised 3/4/22.*** *** Solicitation Amendment 0001 extends�the due date for proposals from 22 March 2022 to 05 April 2022.*** ***Questions received from industry are documented and answers have been provided in the attachment entitled, ""Industry Q&A"".*** The US Army Contracting Command - New Jersey located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ in support of the Product Director for Demilitarization (PD Demil) is soliciting proposals for Demilitarization Research & Development (R&D) and engineering services for developing and improving convention ammunition demilitarization (Demil) and disposal capabilities, technologies, procedures and processes in accordance with the attached solicitation and attachments. This requirement will be a 100% Set Aside to Small Business. It is the Government's intention to award a 100% Small Business Set Aside (SBSA), five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) task orders. The Government reserves the right to make a single award. PD Demil has a mission responsibility for the demilitarization of the U.S. Military�s stockpile of excess, unserviceable, and obsolete conventional ammunition for all Military Services. The stockpile is very large (over 300,000 short tons) and includes a vast array of munition types and fills (over 7,000 different items). Mission responsibilities of this requirement will include the development of new demilitarization processes and equipment to perform such demilitarization. This equipment is installed and tested at U.S. Army ammunition plants/depots, where it is transitioned into the U.S. Army ammunition industrial base as Government-owned equipment. This acquisition covers services for the development, modification, or improvement of demilitarization process equipment. See the attached solicitation for further details.� Proposals are due 22 March 2021, no later than 4:00 PM, Eastern Time.� It should be noted that telephone inquiries and responses will not be accepted.
