- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) delivery order with Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company, Stratford CT.� This Delivery Order will update logistics analysis and products required to support configuration changes on the CH-53K, develop and deliver new Intermediate and Depot component repair capability, and all related analysis, products, and services.� Sikorsky has been the designer and developer of the aircraft for the H-53 legacy and CH-53K helicopters, and, accordingly, is the only known responsible firm with the requisite knowledge, capability, experience, technical data, and test equipment necessary to fulfill the Government�s requirements within the required timeframes herein.� The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as instructed by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. This synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any capability statements received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
