Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT Army Contracting Command � Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tobyhanna Division, Tobyhanna, PA 18466 intends to award a sole source purchase order to Stratasys, Inc, 7665 Commerce Way, Eden Prairie, MN This service requirement is for Stratasys Emerald Care 450 maintenance and support services for the Stratasys 3D Printer, Model Fortus 450mc. Stratasys, Inc holds copyrights, licenses, and other intellectual property rights on the Stratasys 450mc hardware and software. Therefore, the service for their 450mc Fortus 3D Printer is available only directly through Stratasys, Inc. While Stratasys does utilize resellers for purchasing this particular printer system, only Stratasys is approved to support the machine. The Government intends to acquire this service under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This is not a solicitation for competitive quotes. However, if any interested party feels that can provide this service, without compromising manufacturing delivery, warranty or mark ups, you may submit a statement of capabilities that may be considered by Tobyhanna Army Depot.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is based upon responses to this notice and it is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. The capability statement, a price list and any other information furnished must be via email only and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can meet the requirements. Capability statements and related materials must be e-mailed to Melissa Hoffman at Melissa.hoffman4.civ@army.mil by 10:00 PM EST on March 17, 2022.
