- Request for Information (RFI) for Helmet Display and Tracking System, Part Number AN/AVS-7(V)11 THIS IS A RFI ONLY. �This is Sources Sought (SS)/Request for Information (RFI) for market research. Information is to be used for preliminary planning purposes in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. �This announcement does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and does not commit the Government to solicit or award a contract now or in the future. Further, the Army is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. �Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party�s expense. Purpose: The Product Manager Air Warrior (PM AW) is seeking to identify interested contractors capable of manufacture and delivery of a qualified Helmet Display and Tracking System (HDTS), part number AN/AVS-7(V)11 and SPARES. �The responses to this RFI will be used to gather information that may be able to fulfill the PM AW�s needs.� Background: �PM AW, as the configuration manager of Helmet Display and Tracking System has a requirement to provide HDTSs in support of Army Aviation. �The system must be able interface with the current aircraft configuration consisting of the Advanced Sight and Display Computer (ASDC) , Common Display Interface Unit (CDIU), Advanced Magnetic Transmitting Unit (AMTU), Boresight Reticle Units (BRUs), Helmet Tracking Kit (HTK) and associated mounting hardware and aircraft cabling. The Government does not possess a verified and validated Technical Data Package for the� ASDC, CDIU, AMTU, BRUs or the HTK as each contains proprietary data the Government is not privy to. In order to meet the timelines for fielding, any contractor must have a qualified/or nearly qualified system. �The HDTS configuration must be in accordance with drawings 1028641-5 through 1028641-8. � Instructions: � Request that interested parties provide a written response to this RFI NLT 07 April 2022 to Mr. Eddie Gordon, eddie.l.gordon6.civ@army.mil, and Ms. Tarshalyn Sanders, tarshalyn.m.sanders.civ@army.mil. �Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Submissions can be through written correspondence and/or electronic mail. �Responses should include, at a minimum:� ��� �Name and address of the interested company or organization;� ��� �Contact information for the primary POC;� ��� �A brief description of the potential offeror�s company/organization and candidate product; ��� �A description of how the potential offeror�s product either currently meets or how it could be qualified to meet the Air Warrior requirement;� ��� �A Rough Order Magnitude (ROM) cost and time estimate to complete any qualification to Army Aviation requirements; �� ��� �A ROM for production lead-time from contract award to system delivery; ��� �Production capacity per month on a 1-8-5 shift.� ��� �ROM for production unit price for a quantity of 60 to 180 ( 1 to 3 CABS) units per year. �
